A Chicago Adventure

The boys and I took an impromptu trip to Chicago to see Grandma and Grandpa Wistrom last week. Jack and Sammy had a great time exploring the house and yard. Grandpa installed a fountain and little creek in his backyard, and both boys spent hours splashing and playing in the "river." It was a big week for Sammy - he took his first steps, learned to wave and say "hi!" and learned to drive himself on the Sesame Street truck shown below. He was so proud that he climbed on and sat all by himself, and could scoot himself forward with his little feet! Jack got his first scooter, and zoomed up and down the sidewalks looking for friends to play with. We met lots of new kids in the neighborhood, and discovered a great kiddie pool. We also had a couple of fun outings with my cousin Kathy - we got to go to the park and get a "milkshake" at Starbucks. Thanks for the great week in Chicago, Grandpa and Grandma!
